Tuscarora Individuals who want to enroll with the Tuscarora Band of Six Nations Indians must possess at least ¼ Tuscarora Indian blood, federally acknowledged, and proven by documentation with Birth and Death Certificates, Marriage Certiifcates, Kansas Indian Claims, U.S. Census, BIA Census, Certified Tuscarora Letters, Six Nations Indian Population Census, War Draft Cards, Indian Status Card, Probate, Court Orders/Judgments, and Estate Wills. Herein, in addition to the above, Tuscarora Individuals can also enroll through the maternal line with the direct evidence confirmed which will also meet the tribal evidence and qualifications for enrollment as established by the Citizen Tribal Membership Ordinances of the Tuscarora Band of Six Nations Indians.
To be consistent with Six Nations for Indian Status Registration, tribal enrollment can be sustained through the ceremonial maternal bloodline and through the paternal bloodline as long as evidence affirms direct Tuscarora Indian ancestry on records. Entitlement to tribal registration under the Indian Status Enrollment is based on the degree of descent from ancestors who are registered or entitled to be registered.

The Tuscarora Band of Six Nations Indians Enrollment Committee reviews Enrollment Applications semi-annually. All the required documents which proves Tuscarora - Six Nations ancestry must be sent to complete the enrollment application to prove your identity and to confirm your tribal ancestry where as follows: Birth and Death records, Marriage Certificates, Ancestry Chart, State ID, Indian Status Canada Card, Certified Tuscarora Letters, Kansas Indian Claims, U.S. Census, BIA Census, Probate, Court Orders, Obiturary, Judgments, and Wills. If the required documents are not submitted with the enrollment application, all enrollments will be deemed incomplete and void. Dual enrollments will not be allowed.
The Tuscarora Band of Six Nations Indians' comprise of the Tuscarora Citizens' with the tribal enrolled surnames of Anderson, Bissell, Chew, Clause, Cusick, Doctor, Dubuc, Fish, Henry, Hill, Hewitt, Garlow, Green, Jack, Jacobs, Longboat, Maracle, Martin, McKie, Miller, Moses, Patterson, Staats, Johnson, Pemberton, Pembleton, Printup, Seneca, Mt. Pleasant, Gansworth, Williams, Rickard, Smith, Thomas, Thompson, and Williams. The Tuscarora Citizens are enrolled based on certified evidence that their direct lineal tribal ancestor(s) and tribal ancestry is verified among the Six Nations Indian Population Census(s).

First and Second Generation Tribal Descendants:
Tribal Descendants who are 1/8 Indian Blood as a First Generation Descendant or 1/16th Indian Blood as a Second Generation Descendant individual born from an enrolled Tuscarora Indian Citizen of 1/4 Indian Blood, or one half more Indian Blood Quantum (BQ) who do not meet the eligibility requirements for enrollment with the Tuscarora Band of Six Indians as 1/4 Indian Blood Quantum (BQ) or more Indian Blood.
To be recognized as a Tribal Descendant, all documentation must be sent in to the Enrollment Department with the completed enrollment application and must prove that the named applicant individual, lineally descends from an ancestor who is or was a citizen of the First Nations - Tuscarora Nation. The Tribal Descendants who are First and Second Generation Descendants will be given a certified Tribal Descendant Certification only. If the Tribal Descendants enrollment is approved, addtional forms must be completed for the administration and enrollment process for the Tribal Descendant's registration.
